Dubble Earquakes Hit Solomon Islands

Monday January 4th a 7.2 and 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit about 65 miles SSE of Gizo Island. A small tsunami was reported with some local damage.

Earthquake strikes on tsunami anniversary

A strong 6.0 earthquake has struck at sea in eastern Indonesia on the fifth anniversary of another quake that spawned the Asian tsunami that left 250,000 people dead.
