Dreamliner lifts Boeing's future dreams today.

On December 15th The 787 completed it's maiden VFR flight. The 787 is Boeing’s first new jet since 1995. 15 years of aviation development brings several new technological advancements. Instead of using the more common aluminium, a composite material has been used. The carbon-fiber reinforced plastic used in the body is so much lighter than aluminium that there is around a 20% reduction in fuel used. Boeing's facility in Everett, Washington is amazingly gigantic. Explore the tarmac for the the 747 "Dreamlifter".
